The Corker Orchestra

a community orchestra in Castlemaine

WELCOME TO THE CORKER ORCHESTRA!

The Corker Orchestra was formed by James Rigby in 2011 (see more in A History of Corker Orchestra) as a community orchestra to empower musicians of all skill levels and with any instrument to experience the joy of making music with one another. Anybody can join Corker no matter how rudimentary their skills but ukulele and guitar players would benefit from knowing basic chords.  For other instrument players, it is advisable to know how to read music because we read from notated music! The music we play is not particularly difficult and includes mostly popular tunes from films, musicals, even jazz and Latin themes. Occasionally we even play some arrangements of classical music!!!!

Rehearsals are now on Tues evenings from 6 - 7:30pm in the Campbell's Creek Bowling Club in Campbell's Creek. Please book in with us first. Should you wish to get more information about Corker please go to the tab 'Contact Corker'.  We will certainly make contact with you.

Corker Orchestra is resuming rehearsals for 2023 on
Tuesday January 24th. We look forward to seeing you there to create yet another year of lovely, interesting and fun music.
