Corker's News Page
2011Here's where you'll find out anything new and interesting about the Corker Orchestra such as rehearsals and forthcoming performances.
Corker enjoyed three lovely gigs in 2018 and also a few more in 2019. The Fringe Festival invited us to play as one of their closing acts in March 2019 which was a very exciting invitation. We performed at the old Tea Rooms in the Botanical Gardens and despite the inclement weather a good crowd attended and seemed to enjoy themselves, especially the kids who found 'Can Can' irresistible and danced joyfully. We began 2020 with what we had hoped would be an exciting year with prospect of new gigs. The Shire invited us to do a gig in Victory Park on 26th January so this was our first for the New Year. Unfortunately it was also our last as in March the Corona virus resulted in restrictions of group activities. However, Corker is now back rehearsing with determination, from Term 3, Monday 13th July. So if you would like to join us, we would love to welcome you. CO is held at the Campbell's Creek Community Hall which is in Cemetery Rd Campbell's Creek. We have new times and ensembles to respect our Covid 19 changing world. |
